About Joomla 6 Tracker

Joomla 6 Tracker is an independent page that summarises the state of the Joomla 6 release and points you to the official sources. It is not run by the Joomla project.

Who runs it

The site is built and maintained by Noxidsoft, a web development business run as a sole trader in Tasmania, Australia (ABN 74 421 798 989). We build and maintain websites for clients, so we follow CMS releases for work as well as interest.

What it covers

• The current Joomla 6 version and release date.
• A short summary of what shipped in the 6.x series.
• The PHP requirement and a plain-language hosting guide.
• A dated release timeline.
• A practical upgrade checklist for site owners.

How the information is sourced

Version numbers, dates and requirements come from 6.joomla.org and the official announcements. We recheck those pages before updating any figure. Our summaries can lag behind the official pages, so for anything time-sensitive, such as a security release, use the official source.

What this site is not

• It is not the official Joomla website and is not endorsed by Open Source Matters, Inc.
• It does not host downloads. Get Joomla only from the official site.
• It does not offer technical support for your site.

Joomla® and the Joomla logo are trademarks of Open Source Matters, Inc. We do not use the official logo or brand assets.

How we are paid

The site is free. It earns money from Google AdSense advertising, shown in a clearly labelled panel apart from the editorial content. We do not take payment to promote an extension, host or service, and we do not use affiliate links.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with the page and what is wrong. We will check it against the official source and fix it. See the contact page for details.
